Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith “never thought we would come back”.
On a special Friday edition of their “Red Table Talk” Facebook program, they were present to share their side of the controversy about their relationship with August Alsina, a singer.
According to a couple of superstars, “they were going through a very difficult time” and they separated when Pinkett Smith began a romantic relationship with the singer of 27 years.
During his speech on “Red Table Talk”, Smith pressured his wife to be clear about her relationship with Alsina. “I got tangled up with August,” said Pinkett Smith.
In a recent interview with radio presenter Angela Yee, Alsina said she had a romantic relationship with Pinkett Smith, who has been married to Smith since 1997.
The actress and her 51-year-old husband are said to have had an open marriage. The couple denied this, but said their marriage was not traditional and that they had a “life partnership”.
In Friday’s episode, the couple said they felt compelled to speak because there was a lot of speculation after the interview with Alsina. “We never said anything specific”, said Will Smith. “Getting to the table was like we felt like we had to say something. “

Pinkett Smith said that she started a friendship with Alsina about four and a half years ago and that it became something more after she and her husband had problems. She also said that she wanted to clarify Alsina by saying that her husband had given his permission for the case, although she added that she understood why the young singer could have believed that was the case.
“We ride together, we die together. Bad marriage for life.”
She and Will Smith tried “as far as possible to get away from each other just to realize that it was not possible“. Pinkett Smith said her relationship with Alsina was over, the Smiths reconciled and said she hadn’t spoken to the singer in years.
She said that she and her husband had now reached a place of “unconditional love“.
Will Smith said he was unsure if he could speak to Pinkett Smith again when they had problems, but reminded him of their commitment.
“I told you the first year that we got married, that I could love you with anything,” said Will Smith.
The couple punched each other while jokingly reciting the slogan of their movie “Bad Boys”: “We ride together, we die together. Bad marriage for life.”
