If there is one thing that netizens, over and over, have asked Twitter is to add the edit button. A single punctuation error or a typo and you have to delete the entire tweet.
However, recently, the official Twitter account posted something that broke the Internet. They wrote, “You can have an edit button when everyone wears a mask.” This was a way to urge people to follow security measures and wear a face mask.

It didn’t take long for tweeters to realize this and the post went viral. The tweet garnered over 2.2 million likes and over 626k retweets.
Twitterati did not miss the opportunity and came up with some extremely funny responses in the comment section.

Twitter users mainly reacted with amusement at the provocation, although others asked the social media company to stay out of politics and questioned whether the masks were effective.
