iPhone 12 series
The iPhone 12 series was unveiled by Apple at its virtual event yesterday and consists of 4 variants of iPhone 12. While the iPhone 12 mini is presented as the smallest and most affordable model in the new series, the iPhone 12 is designed as the successor to the iPhone 11, and the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max is projected as the successors to the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, respectively.
All four models in the 2020 iPhone lineup come with 5G support and are powered by Apple’s A14 Bionic chip. The latest models also run on iOS 14 out of the box and retain the notch that was originally featured on the iPhone X in November 2017.
Surprisingly, Apple has removed the in-the-box charger brick and provides a USB-C to lightning cable. They say that there are more than enough charging brick available in the world and people could use them. Seriously!!?? When did Apple provide a charging cable that supports USB-C.
A simplified price list of all the models launched yesterday can be found here:
Specification of the iPhone 12 series
The iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max dual SIM (Nano + eSIM) run on iOS 14 out of the box and come with Super Retina XDR OLED displays, with a Ceramic Shield glass cover on top.
This is a significant update from last year’s iPhone launch, as the iPhone 11 from the 2019 iPhone lineup launched with an LCD panel rather than an upgraded OLED display. The new models are also powered by the A14 Bionic SoC, which is already available on the latest iPad Air and comes with the fourth-generation Neural Engine.

Additionally, the new 16-core neural motor is touted as capable of up to 11 trillion operations per second. There are also second-generation machine learning accelerators on the CPU to provide machine learning calculations 10 percent faster than the previous generation neural engine.
In addition to the improved processing power, the iPhone 2020 family comes with 5G support. However, it is of no use as 5G is yet to be made available in India. The US variants of the iPhone 12 series also support faster 5G mmWave networks.
Screen size and camera
In terms of differences, the iPhone 12 mini comes in a 5.4-inch size, while the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro share the same 6.1-inch form factor and the iPhone 12 Pro Max is the largest in the series. with a size of 6.7 inches. Improvements in terms of software

In addition to the Photos application, third-party applications will be able to use the new image format thanks to an API.
