Introduction to the movie

‘Dil Bechara’ establishes itself in Jamshedpur and introduces us to the Basu family. Kizie Basu (Sanjana Sanghi) suffers from thyroid cancer, which has now affected her lungs, requiring her to support oxygen almost all the time. With rock-solid support from her parents, Kizie lives as she arrives, even visiting several hospitals daily in her stride. But what she longs for is a normal life like any girl’s age – with regular problems like boyfriends, Crush et al.

Instead what she is doing involves the funerals of those she does not know, to feel a connection to the inevitable that lies ahead of her. She meets Emmanuel Rajkumar Jr. or Manny (Sushant Singh Rajput) in a cancer support group before and after college. And gave him a calm, introverted nature, first of all, he is wary of his high energy, over-excitement, and ego. Manny has his own story – he survived osteosarcoma and has a case of cancer currently.

Dil Bechara

The two form a beautiful bond as the two strike a beautiful bond, which manages to penetrate its way into her heart, though Kizie was trying to break a heart for him, after all.

When Manny decides to go out to fulfill his long-standing desire to meet his favorite musician, Abhimanyu Vaid (Saif Ali Khan), he realizes that she has fallen for him. But does she know that a sad twist awaits her in the story?

Given its poignant premise, Dil Bechara ‘makes for a very emotional timepiece. Even as the underlying message of the story, celebrating life despite knowing the inevitable, injects it with tremendous infectious energy. Especially as Manny’s character, who really wants to grab every moment of the day.

After the event, Kizie starts avoiding manny so that he doesn’t suffer because of her. But Manny hates the fact she is avoiding him.. And says the words which are going to be etched in Bollywood history “we don’t get to decide when we are born or die… But we have the right to decide how we all live”.
