A Keto Diet is a high-fat, low-carb and high-fat diet that is followed for many health benefits whereas Intermittent Fasting (IF) is an eating pattern that cycles between periods of fasting and eating for various health benefits as well.

What is IF??

Intermittent Fasting (IF) helps reduce weight, lowering cholesterol levels, and also to control glucose levels in the blood. In addition to that, it helps improve liver fat and help improve blood sugar levels. It is also known to improve sleep quality and cycle.

What are some of the benefits of Keto???

Keto Diet is also known to reduce weight, boosting metabolism, and reducing appetite. It is also known to improve acne, reduces risks of cancer, improves heart health, reduces the risk of seizures, and many more known benefits.

What are the benefits of IF??!

Some of the many benefits of It includes weight and body fat loss, increased metabolism, control of blood glucose levels, mental clarity, increased concentration, and many more.

Let’s also see some of the effects!!

Keto diet at times causes a bunch of side effects to people known as Keto fever. It can be anything from irritability, headaches, dizziness, craving for sugar, fatigue, and nausea.

Whereas Intermittent Fasting also same very similar effects like craving for food, headaches, low energy, heartburn, bloating, constipation, nausea, etc.

When we compare them in terms of any side effects, they both fall in the same place. So, if you chose to follow any diet among the above, then you must be ready to go through all of the effects no matter what. So, the preference falls on what type of cycle, and food-diet you prefer to follow. Both also have extremely similar benefits.

If you are focussed on weight loss, definitely both work at their own pace, but as a long term goal, Intermittent Fasting is preferred because it makes sure all the required nutrients and proteins are reaching your body at perfectly planned timing.

Is it good to combine Keto with IF?

Yes, people do combine these two diets and follow a mixed diet. Combining both helps you reach ketosis faster than just following Keto. But, not everyone’s body accepts this form of diet.

keto diet intermittent fasting diet plan

Despite the speed advantage, most of the major dieticians do not recommend this method as it is said that  “Both diets can be very restrictive, and restrictive diet plans do not work long term and can result in negative health outcomes as well as muscle loss and decreased metabolism. Active individuals and athletes especially may find it difficult to fuel and refuel for an active lifestyle on these diet plans.”

There are also rumors that these kinds of diets can increase mortality. So, I would recommend any of Keto or IF in case you are seriously considering it, but not both at once.

Adopting Veganism implicates zero consumption of meat-based food items and other materials of daily use. This method seems to protect the animals from being slaughtered.

Making a transition from one’s meat-based diet and lifestyle, to a Vegan Diet or a Vegan Lifestyle, might appear difficult if you aren’t familiar with the basic facts that should be taken into consideration while you are converting into a Vegan. This article will enlist some major factors to consider while converting into a vegan.

The Transition should be Well-Planned

Well, if you plan to convert yourself you don’t have to do it immediately. Planning is very crucial for the same. Obviously, you don’t suddenly wake up in the morning and decide to be a vegan. It is a process and hence you’ll get used to it only when you plan well and execute it swiftly.

Intake of Proteins

With most of the Protein Sources being Meat-based products, the problem of adequate intake of proteins. With a perfect diet, the protein requirement can be fulfilled by consuming Nuts like Pistachio & Walnuts, Leafy Vegetables, Pulses, and Dairy Products. Egg, Lentils, and Beans can be an important source of protein as well.

Ensure Vitamins and Minerals

While transformation, you might find it difficult to choose what to eat and what not to, this might affect your health and might make you weak. Vitamins and minerals rich food from plant sources is a futile way to maintain your diet as well. Besides this, certain vitamin supplements can also be taken to improve your metabolism.

Try Not to replace Animal Products with Junk Foods

Junk Food Photosveganism vegan ice cream recipe vegan richa vegan definition

One crucial component is, that although one is avoiding meat-based products, one should also ensure that with this avoidance they do not shift to junk food.  Junk food even with no meat-basis is harmful to the heath of the individual.

You’ll Require B12 and Iron Supplements

B12 is necessary for our body as it maintains the nerves and blood cells, surprisingly, the prime source of B12 is animal processed food items, hence taking B12 supplements is even more important. On the other case with Iron as well, although plant-based food provides you iron the animal-based iron is quickly absorbed by the body. Thus, the alternative of animal-based iron could be supplemented.

Veganism Doesn’t Guarantee Weight loss

Another notion is where people often become take up veganism because they want to lose weight. This is substantially Subjective. Some vegans might cut off animal-based food but yet would be consuming junk food or food with immense fat and carbs. Hence, veganism doesn’t guarantees, that if an individual becomes vegan they will eventually lose weight.

Again all the above is to help to achieve your Personal Choice of turning into a complete Vegan, all the above may or may not work for you, but its worth giving a try.

Zomato, a global food-distribution company based in India, was praised for introducing the Period Leave policy. Its chief executive says there is no “shame or stigma” in applying for modern time.

How many days in a month have you missed work or requested a day off for abdominal pain and cramps due to menstruation?

Zomato, one of India’s largest food-distribution firms, asked its 4,000 employees, 35 percent of whom are women, to announce a new pay-for-leave policy for employees on Saturday. Not common among large global companies, this policy leaves a period of 10 days a year and applies to transgender employees.

The policy is considered a bold step to tackle an age-old taboo in India, where 71 percent of young women, according to UNICEF, remain unaware of menstruation until their first cycle.

The company’s founder and CEO, Deepinder Goyal, said in a statement to his employees, “There should be no shame or stigma associated with applying for term leave. You should feel free to let people know by internal groups, or over email, that you are on a day off. “
He said, “It’s a part of life.”

Zomato’s period leave made headlines around the world and garnered social media users and women’s rights advocates.

“This is a really progressive step, It has been said for a long time”, Rituparna Chatterjee, freelance journalist, and columnist, who is also the Director of Communications at an Indian organization, Ungender Legal Advisor, aims to help companies achieve gender inclusion.
“It gives the option – what we don’t have when we had the option to rest in pain, “Now at least the employees who work for Zomato have.”” she said on the Zomato’s move on period leave.

For decades, menstruation has been a barrier to women’s equality. The menstrual cycle can cause a variety of painful symptoms that continue with each cycle until menopause, usually between the ages of 45 and 55.

Symptoms of the menstrual cycle may include pelvic and lower back pain, headaches, fatigue, and mood swings caused by fluctuating hormonal levels. Pain-related to periods, also called dysmenorrhea, is common worldwide. It often affects school and workplace performance and can worsen with age. According to a 2012 study, painful periods interrupt the daily activities of 20 percent of women.

In some parts of the world, women face discrimination, are forced to endure menstrual pain in silence in the workplace or lose payment to stay home. In Nepal, girls are locked in “period huts” during their cycle because they are considered polluted, even toxic. The practice has had fatal consequences. In 2017, a teenager was bitten and killed by a poisonous snake in western Nepal.

Why this Period leave means a lot in India ?

In India, seeing menstruation as a prohibition does real harm, author Rose George notes the “prohibition of menstruation”. Women face discrimination and superstition, sanitary supplies remain unavailable or unaffected, and access to safe and hygienic toilet facilities serves as an obstacle to the management of menstrual hygiene.

Countries have made progress in addressing issues from time to time to deal with the “tampon tax”. The Scottish Parliament this year passed a bill to make pads and tampons free across the board. But Zomato’s policy is the latest step to end widespread outdated workplace policies. In Japan, for example, Yumi Ishikawa, a model, actress, and temporary worker, collected 18,000 signatures for a petition to end the employer dress code that forces women to wear heels.

Zomato is not the first Indian company to start a period of leave. In the state of Bihar, there is a casual leave of two days for taking time out since 1992 for government employees. In 2017, digital media company Culture Machine, which has offices in five cities in India, implemented a menstrual holiday policy independent of vacation and sick days. Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Zambia also have menstrual holiday policies.

While advocates say the policy should be widely expanded, others say that the extra days can hamper progress in the workplace of women, and its use of low wages and bias against hiring women Is done to justify.

But Zomato – a food aggregator that has grown to become one of the world’s largest food firms in 12 years, is looking to achieve Uber’s food-distribution business in India this year and maintain a presence in 24 countries and in more than 10,000 cities For – Moving forward.

Company employees can apply for term leave through the human resources portal, its statement said and will have a sexual harassment team to respond to any employees experiencing harassment to take time off.

Zomato – Period leave

The Chief Executive Officer of Zomato, Mr. Goyal, about the period leave, said in his statement, “It is our job to ensure that we make room for our biological needs while not lowering the bar for the quality of our work and the impact we create. “

Ms. Chatterjee stated that the classification of paid period leave of the company is important, this distinguishes it from a few days of casual leave and can conduct a national conversation.

“There are a significant number of women working as domestic workers in the unorganized labor sector, and no house gives them a day when they have a period,” Ms. Chatterjee said. “It should be a conversation so that it becomes normal.”

Period leave isn’t something that should be spoke special about, it is a right that every woman should be provided with.

Covid-19 had an incredible effect on every one of us and rearranged up-down our needs, where well-being stands apart first. We never understood the significance of being solid, on one hand, we are advancing by trying sincerely yet on the other underestimating our wellbeing.

Take care of you health

Today the situation has nearly changed, life is a circle whatever returns it returns once more. At the point when we as a whole chose to settle on our constitutions and began to give more significance to materialistic things directly from that point, we put some distance between ourselves.

Man needs difficulties; they are necessary for health.
