With just a day passed in the dream11 IPL 2020, we have seen some good cricket yesterday’s match between the rivals MI and CSK. There was some rustiness from the players since they were playing after a long break. Although the ground fielding was poor from both the sides, expecting the players to improve game after games.

The powerhouse DC vs the solid looking KXIP

It’s the second day of the Dream11 IPL 2020 and we are at match number 2. It’s the Iyer lead DC vs the KL Rahul lead KXIP. These two young captains have a point to prove as a captain, with Iyer already a proven captain in last year’s IPL. But these two teams are coached by some brilliantly experienced coaches in the likes of Ricky Ponting for DC and Anil Kumble for KXIP.

DC vs KXIP
credits-iplt20.com

Interestingly, these two teams have never won the title. This time with the likes of KL Rahul, Glenn Maxwell, R Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, Hetmyer, Marcus Stoinis, Nicholas Pooran, and Rishab Pant both the teams are serious contenders for the top 4 and even the title, especially DC with their team composition having players suiting for different roles. They are dynamic this year.

But both the teams will be under pressure and has a point to prove in today’s match. They have to find their strengths and weaknesses and adapt to the conditions so quickly. That’s where every team should look upon.

Stats and strategy to look for

Playing in Dubai, the average 1st innings score is 152. So a score of 160 will be par and teams must bowl according to the conditions to defend this total. Batting 1st team has won 25 times and batting 2d team has won 26 times. So it will tough to predict the results just with a toss of the match.

KXIP’s Mujeeb as a better record over both DC’s Rishab Pant and Hetmyer. He has dismissed both the batsmen twice each. So to dry up the firepower of DC, Mujeeb will play a key role in Punjab’s success in today’s match.

Glenn Maxwell, Nicholas Pooran, and Chris Gayle are the serious batting firepowers of KXIP. But playing all three can make Punjab’s bowling vulnerable, with Mujeeb already a contender of overseas slots, they also need a foreign pacer to strengthen the bowling attack. So there may be chances of Chris Gayle playing a mentor role for the youngsters. Considering the recent form of both Maxwell and Pooran, obviously, they can’t drop both.

Ricky Ponting hinted that there is a bit of grass cover on Dubai wicket. So we can expect him playing three pacers. With Rabada and Ishant will be his obvious choice, Nortje or Daniel Sams will be his third choice. Provided an ample experience from their Indian spinners in the likes of Ravi Ashwin and Amit Mishra, Lamichchane might miss this game so that they give chance to the pacers in this track.

With Hetmyer, Rabada, and Daniel Sams featuring the starting 11, their third overseas can be one among Carey, Stoinis, and Keemo Paul. If Carey plays, they will be left to an option of just 5 bowlers. Stoinis and Paul can be handy with their cutters in the middle overs.

Glenn Maxwell has a good head to head with DC’s Ashwin scoring 107 of 49 balls but the other spinner Mishra has the upper hand over Maxwell dismissing 4 out of 5 times playing each other.

Sreesanth’s viral pic-2 years back.

IPL 2020:

Welcome to the Part-3 of the IPL 2020 series. In the previous part, we analyzed the strengths and weaknesses and playing 11 of both Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Hope you enjoyed the part-2 of this series. Let’s get into the part-3.

Read,

In this part, we are going to see about the teams which are filled with talented Indian youngsters mixed with some good foreign players.

Kolkata Knight Riders

Kolkata Knight Riders, lead by their captain Dinesh Karthik and coached by Brendon McCullum is one of the promising teams of IPL 2020. Many legends were part of this franchise in the past in the likes of Sourav Ganguly, Gayle, Baz, Gautam Gambhir, and the list goes on. KKR has won a total of two IPL cups in their cabinet. Both their title wins were under their most successful captain Gautam Gambhir.

Top Order:

In this season of IPL 2020, they have some young and top-performing openers in their list. Sunil Narine has been their opener since 2017 season of IPL. He has played some fearless and fierce innings in the past for them with, some insane strike-rates by an opener. Since Lynn has been dropped from the KKR squad, they need a proper opening batsman to replace him.

Rahul Tripathi and Tom Banton are the two options for them in IPL 2020. Considering Tripathi, he has been one of the star performers of RPS in the 2017 season of IPL. Tom Banton from England has performed well in the last season of BBL and one of the hot buys in the recent IPL auction.

IPL 2020
Shubman gill – gulfnews.com

Shubman Gill will be my no. 3 for KKR. He has been one of the serious talents Indian Cricket team. This youngster had played a good U19 WC in 2018. He has amassed a total score of 372 in that tournament playing 5 innings with the best score of 102*. He was the leading run-scorer for India in that tournament.

Middle and Lower-middle order:

Considering their middle order, KKR has one of the strong and destructive middle and lower-middle order. Eoin Morgan and Nitish Rana will be my no.4 and no.5 for KKR. The English captain, can be a batsman to settle their nerves among the young top-orders. Both Morgan and Rana are good players of spin, especially Nitish Rana has played well for them in the past.

ipl 2020 kkr morgan
Eoin Morgan

Considering the lower-middle order, Dinesh Karthik and the Caribbean star Andre Russell will be my no.6 and no.7. They will play according to the overs left. Both are known for their finishing skills and has done their job pretty well in the past. In short, they are not less of destruction in the middle and lower-middle order in IPL 2020.

Bowlers:

They have a good mix of Indian and foreign bowlers. Pat Cummins the Australian speedster, is the most expensive foreign buy in the history of IPL and is expected to perform well in the IPL 2020. They have Lockie Ferguson and Harry Gurney in the squad but Cummins is my 1st preference in the playing 11.

IPL 2020, kkr, cummins
indiatvnews.com

They have good and young Indian Pacers in their squad. Shivam Mavi and Prasidh Krishna will feature in my playing 11 for KKR. They have other good pacers in their bench. They have some really good spinners in the likes of Sunil Naine and Kuldeep Yadav.

Strengths and weaknesses:

KKR in IPL 2020 has one of the best middle and lower-middle order but what they lack is an experienced or a premium top-order batsman. Even though the young top-order batsmen are good, this is something they should care for.

Considering their bowlers, they miss an extra spinner in their squad if their front-line spinners fails to fire. Also they lack a good death bowler, the other bowlers in the team should step-up for this role.

My playing 11 for KKR in IPL 2020:

Sunil Narine, R Tripathi, S Gill, Eoin Morgan, N Rana, D Karthik(c)(wk), Andre Russell, Pat Cummins, K Yadav, Prasidh Krishna, S Mavi.

Delhi Capitals

Delhi Capitals is one of the promising young teams led by their captain Shreyas Iyer and coached by their veteran Ricky Ponting. This team hasn’t won any IPL titles but many legends were part of this franchise. In the last season of IPL, they finish 3rd in the points table but losing to CSK in the Qualifier-2. They are expected to play well again in the IPL 2020.

ipl 2020 dc

Top Order:

Similar to KKR they have their squad is filled with youngsters but also equally they have some experienced players, so DC have their edge over KKR considering their top order.

Prithvi Shaw a promising youngster, who played U19 WC in 2018 along with KKR’s Gill, will open my playing 11 for DC. Shikhar Dhawan will open along with him. The veteran opener has quite a good experience as an opening batsman. They also have Jason Roy and Ajinkya Rahane in their squad, so they have quite good choices for their opening pair in IPL 2020.

ipl 2020 roy
Jason Roy

My no.3 for DC will be their captain Shreyas Iyer. He is a reliable batsman for no.3 and has led his team well in the previous season of IPL.

Middle and Lower-middle order:

Similar to KKR, DC also has a destructive middle order, but they are young. Their no.4 will be India’s current wicket-keeper batsman Rishab Pant. Pant is known for his hitting abilities. He along with Hetmyer who will be their no.5 is an absolute threat for any bowling attack.

ipl 2020 dc pant
Rishab Pant

Pant’s recent form is questionable. Amidst of the retirement of the Ace Indian keeper Ms Dhoni, Pant has a point to prove in IPL 2020, to cement his place in the playing 11.

My no.6 and no.7 will be the all-rounders Marcus Stoinis and Keemo Paul. These two can be handy to finish the innings and can bowl few overs in tandem.

Bowlers:

They have some good and experienced bowlers to play for them in IPL 2020 in the likes of Ashwin, Mishra, Rabada, and Ishant. The four mentioned before will feature my playing 11 for DC. They also have Mohit Sharma, who may play in place of Ishant.

rabada ipl 2020
Kagiso Rabada

They also have Sandeep Lamichchane a promising leggie from Nepal. Axar Patel may also feature in the 11, if they need a Indian spinner.

Strengths and weaknesses:

They are one of the strongest teams to play in the IPL 2020. They have a good mix of young and senior players which is good for any T20 playing team. They have all-boxes ticked. Their only weakness can be their captian is too young, but he has already shown up a good performance in the last season. They also have problem of plenty, too many openers in their squad to select for and a good head-ache for the captain.

My playing 11 for DC in IPL 2020:

Prithvi Shaw/ Jason Roy, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer(c), R Pant(wk), S Hetmyer, M Stoinis, Keemo Paul/ Axar Patel, R Ashwin, K Rabada, A Mishra, I Sharma.

Hope you enjoyed the Part-3. See you again in Part-4 with the Kings of IPL.

Editor’s Pick :

Title Sponsorship Battle

Due to Indo-Chinese outrage and #BoycottChinese on the trend list, current Title sponsors Vivo backed off who were paying around Rs 450 crores. The BCCI had very little time to select their title sponsor and started a bid for the aforementioned post. Many have shown interest in this but the real contenders were Unacademy, Byjus, Dream 11, and Tata Sons.

Here is the bid amount from each companies:

  • Dream 11 – Rs. 250 crore
  • Unacademy – Rs. 210 crore
  • Tata Sons – Rs. 180 crore
  • Byjus – Rs. 125 crore

Dream 11’s Bid

The breakup of Dream 11‘s bid is Rs. 222 crore for the first year and if Vivo cannot continue as the title sponsors, Dream 11 should spend Rs. 240 crore for the second year and the same in the third year too.

With the Indian Premier League Governing Council (GC) slated to meet on Sunday, the strength of each IPL squad will be in the discussion as standard operating procedures (SOP) are formalized for this year’s tournament in the UAE.

An IPL franchise generally consists of a squad of 25-28 players. In addition to players and executives, there are at least 10-15 members on support staff. TOI understands that each IPL franchise will have to organize its own biological bubble upon arrival in the UAE approximately one month before the tournament. In that case, limiting the squad could be a containment bone.

The last time IPL was played in the United Arab Emirates in 2014, the teams led a trimmed squad. Generally, franchises highlight many players in the middle of the season if they are not close to the national team in-game XI.

TOI has learned that there have been suggestions that franchises could be asked to limit the number of players to 20. The idea is to keep the locker room as crowded as possible. However, franchises believe that there should be no compromise in the number of players. “Franchises would prefer to prune their non-playing staff If there are instructions on team strength. Some franchises will leave this decision to the coach and team management. Ideally, if there is a limit, then it should be in the entourage in their set, “a senior franchise official told TOI.

“There could be a limit to the number of people a franchise brought ashore on game days. Even some of the support staff might be asked to stay at the hotel,” I added.

Net bowlers, practicing resources is a big challenge

The other point of conflict for franchises is the provision of adequate practice facilities. The availability of resources for practice sessions in this IPL will not be as easy as it was last time with such strict health protocols. “That is why franchises need more players. For almost two and a half months the teams will be in the UAE. Getting net players for so many teams will be difficult,” said the official.

The ICC Academy in Dubai has almost 40 pitches and two full terrains. Even the ground in Abu Dhabi has huge practice facilities. “There has to be a POE to hire bowlers and net resources, Franchises can hire the facilities, but they also need to have resources” added the official.

CSK plans to leave before others

Chennai Super Kings is working to land in Dubai on August 10 to practice for this season IPL. TOI also learned that the Knights of the Kolkata Knights are observing on August 19 and 20, while all other teams should leave before August 25. “CSK has been proactive. Be ready to leave on August 10. But the delay in the BCCI POE could delay that, “said a source.

BCCI is in talks with Emirates Airlines to coordinate with franchises since the Indian government has only allowed repatriation flights now. But some franchises are already looking to organize charter flights, “the source added.

London(UK): A 14-member One-Day International (ODI) squad for England for the next series against Ireland has been announced. Eoin Morgan named as skipper and Moeen Ali as his deputy.

The two sides are slated to play a three-game Royal London series, starting July 30 at the Rose Bowl Cricket Ground in Southampton behind closed doors in a bio-secure environment.

Wicketkeeper hitter Tom Banton, who made his debut for England in the 50-plus-year format during a clash against South Africa in February 2020, has also been named to the series in Ireland.

While Kent hitter Joe Denly has been removed from the ODI team after being eliminated for the second and third tests against the West Indies, Test captain Joe Root, ATV Ben Stokes, and batsman Jos Buttler have been removed.

Seamer Saqib Mahmood, who played just one ODI for his national team against South Africa, also received a go-ahead on the national team for upcoming ODIs.

Reflecting on the team, Coach James Taylor said the upcoming ODI against Ireland will provide a great opportunity to continue the exciting evolution of the ODI side with the T20 2021 World Cup also in mind.

“We are developing excellent depth resistance in white-ball cricket. Despite the fact that several test players are not available, there is a great competition for places, as we have seen during the matches within the team and the preparation game of the Lions of England, “said Taylor, according to the Cricket Board of England and Wales (ECB).

“There are a number of players who will feel unfortunate not to have made it to the final team and that says a lot about how many players we currently have pushing hard for the national team at the highest level,” I added.

Meanwhile, Richard Gleeson, Lewis Gregory, Liam Livingstone has been named as their three reserves for the ODI series against Ireland.

The ODI series between England and Ireland will also usher in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League, which will determine qualification for the 2023 World Cup with the top seven teams automatically booking their places for the main event in India.

Happy Birthday Sourav Ganguly – As the former India captain and Indian Cricket “Dada” turns 48, here is a look at five decisions Ganguly made as a captain that changed the face of Indian cricket.

Sourav Ganguly, the enigmatic former captain of India, the prolific opener of ODI, and the current president of BCCI turns 48 on Wednesday. With 11,363 runs and 22 ODI hundreds to his name, Ganguly is considered to be one of the best opening pitchers in India that Indian cricket has ever produced. In addition to his batting records, Ganguly is also hailed as one of the top Indian Cricket team captains and is often credited for the team revolution in the early 2000s.

Under his leadership, India beat Australia in the series. Test in 2001, beat England at Lord’s to win the 2002 Natwest Trophy, reached the 2003 ODI World Cup final, tied England in the Test series in 2004, and even defeated Pakistan in a Test series in 2005.

The decisions made by Sourav Ganguly as captain that changed Indian cricket forever

Sending Laxman to No. 3 in Calcutta in 2001 against Australia

Sourav Ganguly was always an instinctive captain. Laxman was the only Indian hitter to be comfortable against the Australian attack in the first innings of the famous Calcutta Test in 2001. India was asked to follow him as soon as Day 3 and Ganguly decided to promote Laxman in the No.3 in place of Rahul Dravid. The play worked wonders for both of them as both Dravid and Laxman fought on Day 4 and the latter recorded 281, the highest score for an Indian to establish an improbable victory on Day 5, which was completed by a rabid Harbhajan Singh… The victory ended Australia’s 16-game winning streak and India went on to win the Final Test in Chennai to take the series 2-1.

Ask Sehwag to open

Virender Sehwag had batted in the middle order all his life. Even when he made his Test in India debut at Bloemfontein in South Africa, he had shattered a century of hitting at No. 6. But Sourav Ganguly saw something that many could not. He asked Sehwag to open the batting for India, as he believed that hitting the Delhi right-hander would bring more results on top of the order. The rest, as they say, is history. Averaging close to 50 and two triple tons to his name, Sehwag became one of India’s most successful test starters and contributed to many Indian victories, especially abroad.

Convince Dravid to put on the gloves

Sourav Ganguly’s India did not have the luxury of an MS Dhoni in large part. Finding a permanent vigilante had become the longest headache for them. Ganguly decided to end it by asking Rahul Dravid to hold the wickets to keep his balance.

The reluctant Dravid, who was one of India’s most trusted blue-chip hitters at the time, had no choice but to obey his captain’s orders. The move turned out to be successful as it allowed India to play an additional hitter during the period between 2002 and 2004. In the end, it turned out that Dravid wasn’t as bad as No. 5 either. In fact, some of his best ODI tickets came at the time.

Selecting Dhoni and then promoting him to No.3 vs Pakistan

sourav ganguly birthday indian cricket dada india

It cannot be a mere coincidence that the two most successful captains of Indian cricket are born just a day apart. It would have been the perfect fairy tale if Sourav Ganguly had been born on July 7 and Dhoni a day later rather than the other way around. But that doesn’t change the fact that it was Ganguly, who decided to try Dhoni after just one successful series for India A in Kenya. “That is my job, right? That is the job of each captain to choose and make the best team possible,” Ganguly told Mayank Agarwal in the episode of “Open Networks with Mayank,” answering a fan’s question, it was true that Ganguly had decided to choose from nothing.

But Sourav Ganguly did not stop there. After some disastrous first outings, questions were raised about Dhoni’s position on the Indian side. But Ganguly knew his potential and decided to promote Dhoni to hit No. 3 in an ODI against Pakistan at Vizag in 2005. Dhoni broke 148 and has never looked back since then.

Support young talents and make the team believe that they can win abroad.

The likes of Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, MS Dhoni, all flourished under the leadership of Ganguly. It was the former India starter who built the Indian side out of the routine of the 2000 match-fixing scandals and led them to believe they can win anywhere in the world. Ganguly’s overseas record of 11 abroad wins in 28 tests, the second-best after Virat Kohli, speak for themselves.

On the eve of MS Dhoni’s 39th birthday, Dwayne Bravo invited fans of the Indian star to his new song about the former World Cup-winning captain.

  • Bravo released a new song on MS Dhoni on the eve of Captain CSK’s 39th birthday
  • Bravo has titled the song Helicopter 7 and presents a ‘Helicopter Celebration’
  • From mentioning the ticket collector phase to thanking Ganguly, Dwayne Bravo has dedicated the song to Dhoni

Dwayne Bravo’s Helicopter Celebration

MS Dhoni turns 39 on Tuesday, July 7 and the celebrations have already started. While trends are beginning to pick up on social media, Dwayne Bravo, a West Indies off-roader, has gifted Dhoni a special birthday present by releasing his song ‘Helicopter 7’ on the eve of the Chennai’s captain’s birthday. Super Kings.

“So the wait is over !! @ mahi7781 you are truly a great inspiration to many people around the world. As we prepare to celebrate your birthday, on behalf of my team, my fans and your fans, we wish you God bless The helicopter is off, “Bravo wrote on social media

From mentioning his Ranchi roots to thanking Sourav Ganguly for promoting Dhoni to play at No. 3 on ODI, Dwayne Bravo had made sure he had presented a gift for Dhoni fans on the star’s birthday.

‘He started out as a ticket collector’

The song also features the ‘Helicopter Celebration’ in which Bravo can be seen imitating Dhoni’s ‘helicopter shot’.

“This Ranchi guy, they call him Dhoni. He makes India proud, creating history. Let’s say thanks to Ganguly for letting him hit at number 3. That’s where he got his first century and that was the start of the Mahi brand. It started as a ticket collector. Now he’s one of the best in history, “says Bravo’s lyrics in his song for Dhoni.

For Mahi

“Mahi’s song … I still haven’t completed the entire track. I still want to work on the music and some other lyrics I want to put there. I was thinking … there is no one who has made a song as a tribute to an athlete in I came up with ideas, “Dwayne Bravo told Harsha Bhogle during the chat show ‘Cricbuzz in Conversation.’

“I want to do something for him. He is nearing the end of his career. He had a great career. It had a huge impact on my personal career and also on many other cricketers.”

“You listen to interviews from other cricketers like Rohit Sharma, Hardik (Pandya) and even Virat (Kohli), everyone praises him in regards to their careers. He gave a lot of opportunities for cricketers. He also won titles for the country.”

“I wanted to do something special for him. I called song No. 7. It’s his number. It’s a special number for him.”

MS Dhoni has not played international cricket for almost a year, but he is still one of the most talked-about and beloved cricketers. What makes the World Cup winner unmatched? We try to decipher. Captain Cool turned 39 on Tuesday, July 7. Though he is no longer the great long-haired hitter or all-defeating captain of Team India, he remains one of the country’s most beloved cricketers, if not the most beloved.

As he celebrates his birthday far from the limelight, it’s a flashy social media affair that’s packed with #HappyBirthdayMSDhoni posts. His former and current teammates sent out nightly tweets, wishing him a special day. One of them has even composed and released a song to mark the occasion.

Almost a year has passed since Dhoni played competitive cricket at the highest level and his cheeky appearance of salt and pepper in rare appearances in Sakshi’s social media stories are only fueling speculation about his international future.

“January tak mat poocho,” MSD had said when asked about his future last year. It’s July and there’s still nothing on his side except the heavily worded rebuttals of retirement rumors.

Some of his fans and former teammates expect him to “play for another 10 years,” but Dhoni is certainly at the end of his international career. As the cricket world celebrates its 39th birthday, here’s a look at 7 things that have made MSD the fan-favorite cricket player that Paisa-vasool is.

The MSD computer

Already in his first tournament as captain, MSD proved that it’s not just about his batting and wicket keeping skills. It was the ‘computer’ on his shoulders that elevated his status in international cricket. With a formula that can backfire on others and often seems inexplicable from the outside, Dhoni led India to some of the best wins, including the much-celebrated 2011 World Cup.

When Dhoni is in the middle: guaranteed nail bites

The calm and calculated approach was reflected in his hitting as well. While MSD started out as an aggressive hitter who would carry the attack on opposition bowlers from the get-go, he became today’s finalist who likes to play mind games with opposition bowlers.

When Dhoni is in the middle, all hope is not lost. Even when the task seems improbable as it did in his last international appearance, TV screens don’t turn off when he’s outside with “his computer turned off.”

The whirlwind wicketkeeper

Dhoni did not start his career as the whirlwind glove that he evolved to be. “Questions were asked about wicket maintenance skills.”

However, he worked hard and made sure hitters thought twice before going out or worried when they lost their balance while playing a shot when handling the gloves. Not forgetting the odd angles from which it hits wickets that many in the recent past have found difficult to replicate.

The teacher, the micro stump and its spinners

Spinners certainly lack MSD behind stumps in their time outside of sport. From R Ashwin to Kuldeep Yadav, the impact of Dhoni on the current generation of Indian spinning pitchers is well documented.

Dhoni’s reading of the game and consequent one-line advice to spinners have led to some of the most enjoyable microphone chats over the years.

Even a Marathi version was heard last year when Dhoni was giving advice to Kedar Jadhav, someone who attributes his bowling career to the former captain.

The Dhoni review system

Dhoni was not in favor of the Decision Review System for quite some time in international cricket. While other international teams incorporated the technology, India resisted for a considerable period.

However, it was not a surprise that the cool captain continued DRS after India began adopting the technology. Nicknamed ‘Dhoni Review System’ by his fans, the Ranchi hero receives DRS calls correctly most of the time. More importantly, he has the ability to influence his teammates, including Captain Virat Kohli, to make the correct DRS calls.

“Leg stump ke bahar ja rahi hai. Check kharab ho jayega aur kuch nahin. (He is missing leg stump. We will miss a check; nothing more),” Dhoni was heard saying during the tour of India in the West Indies in 2017.

Simple and sharp.

The post-match pearls of wisdom

The world of cricket has always been fascinated by Dhoni’s thought process. Since he largely chooses to stay away from media interactions and social media conversations, post-match analysis has been the only window on the Dhoni computer.

Already lamenting the lack of athletic ability to comment on the quality of the opposition when evaluating a Chepauk 70s track, Dhoni keeps it straight and simple.

At post-match press conferences, it’s best to stay away from questions about your future and retirement.

Multitasking

Dhoni has over 10,000 ODI races. He has won all of the ICC trophies that are there to be earned as captain. However, Dhoni has made sure to have things to keep him busy and distracted while he’s not on the field.

Whether it’s love for his family or a passion for superbikes and supercars (lately tractors), Dhoni has given his fans a lesson in work-life balance.

3 Indian players of 2019 World Cup, who fed Sourav Ganguly in 2023 World Cup

It is said for Sourav Ganguly that he used to stand in front of the management for his players. As a captain, Dada supported the players of the team.

Former Indian captain and BCCI President (Sourav Ganguly) is known for his leadership ability. Ganguly’s greatest quality is his clarity of thought. This thing has been reflected in their decisions. When he captained the team, he still knew which player to use where and when.

Recently, Team India opening batsman Mayank Agarwal asked Sourav Ganguly that which three players of the 2019 World Cup would you feed in the 2023 World Cup? Ganguly replied that he would have included Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Jaspreet Bumrah in his team.

‘Sehwag’s phone will come to hear my answer’

Sourav Ganguly, one of the successful captains of India, is running the Indian Cricket Board today. For Ganguly, it is said that he used to stand in front of the management for his players. As a captain, Dada supported the players of the team. He knew the ability of every player. And even today they know which player they can bet on.

Team India’s new Test opener Mayank Agarwal asked many questions to Sourav Ganguly. To which Ganguly replied in his style. Mayank asked which are the three players of the 2019 World Cup whom he used to feed in his team in the 2023 World Cup and why? Ganguly replied without delay that I would have given Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Jaspreet Bumrah a chance. Bumrah is brilliant in fast bowling. We played in South Africa, where our bowlers performed well in the series.

He said that he would send Rohit to number one. Put Virat in the middle order and himself comes in at number three. I do not know if Sehwag will be listening to me, then tomorrow his phone will come to me that how can you think so. But I would keep these three in my team. Although I would have also picked Dhoni if you asked me to select only three players, then I will get wicketkeeping done by Rahul Dravid.
