Apple Event 2020
Apple’s Sept. 15 Time Flies event is over, revealing what’s next for the iPad and Apple Watch. The event was headlined by the Apple Watch 6, which offers an improved display and blood oxygen monitoring, as well as the iPad Air 4, which brings a great A14 Bionic chip and a totally revamped design to the slim tablet series.
But there’s so much more than that for Apple fans, including the affordable Apple Watch SE and the long-awaited 8th generation iPad. Here’s everything you missed from yesterday’s Apple event.
What was launched??
Apple Watch 6: Apple’s new flagship watch offers blood oxygen monitoring, an improved display, and tons of new color and band options for $ 399.
Apple Watch SE: Starting at just $ 279, this affordable Apple Watch promises twice the power of the Apple Watch 3.

iPad Air 4: Apple’s most advanced iPad Air yet, this tablet delivers blazing A14 speeds and a perfect Liquid Retina display with fun color options for $ 599.
iPad 8: The latest version of Apple’s most popular tablet has become even more powerful thanks to its new A12 processor.
Apple Fitness Plus: This new fitness service allows you to enjoy a variety of workouts on any screen and view metrics in real-time through your Apple Watch from $ 10 a month. This came as a big surprise to leaksters as well since there has been no clue about this!!
Apple One: This subscription package includes Apple services like Apple Arcade, Apple TV Plus, Apple Music, and iCloud starting at $ 15 per month. In India the prices are much cheaper, starting at just Rs. 195 which is around $4. Looks good for a comparison right 🙂
iPhone 12!?
Apple did not show any new phones at this event – that will happen in a separate exhibit in October. This has come as a big shock to a normal person but this has been leaked/informed by the leaksters months ago.

World’s First 5nm chip
Apple says it uses a 5nm manufacturing process and has 11.8 billion transistors. It is also capable of performing up to 11 trillion operations per second, thanks to the new 16-core Neural Engine that is twice as fast as the previous generation.
iPadOS 14
In 2019, Apple split iOS and iPadOS, effectively promising that it would focus resources on new features for the iPad that might not make it to the iPhone. The intention was to create an iPad experience that could be more competitive with full computer experience. A new feature released by the company for the iPad is support for the use of an external mouse or trackpad, making it easier for people to use the device in conjunction with a keyboard.
Environment Friendly!?
It will be harder for Apple to reduce emissions from the manufacture of its products, which accounted for 76 percent of the carbon footprint in 2019. To meet that challenge, the company is looking to work with suppliers that run on renewable energy. It says it has earned a commitment from more than 70 suppliers to use only renewable energy for Apple’s production, which the company estimates will reduce carbon dioxide emissions equivalent to taking 3 million cars off the road a year.

Apple commits to be 100 percent carbon neutral for its supply chain and products by 2030
